The Council is committed to supporting business and talent development leaders by providing a venue to discuss human resources-related topics, exchange ideas, and stay abreast of changing business practices to make strategic, employee-centered investments that promote business growth and advance employees’ economic opportunity.

Join us for the first meeting of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion/Human Resources Council as we hear from Manuel Pastor of the University of Southern California, who will provide an overview of local economic context based on his research, and Thomas Yeomans and Bonnie Franco of Ralphs Grocery Company, who will share company approaches to talent recruitment, retention and upskilling that promote diversity, equity and inclusion.

We will also discuss a business approach to strengthening and supporting entry-level and front-line workers and how the Chamber's new Council can best support members in advancing these efforts.

When will the Council convene?
The Council will convene four to six times per year.

Who can attend?
We welcome company and organization representatives who are responsible for Human Resources, talent development and/or overall company leadership, including small businesses.
