clientuploads/Council Icons/EWD.pngThe Education & Workforce Development Policy Council convenes local business leaders interested in partnering with educators in an effort to improve public education, expand access to higher education and develop a 21st century workforce capable of competing in a global economy. 

As a result of the current economic climate, the Council is focused on boosting job recovery for today's workforce while preparing future generations of workers.

The 2019 Federal Landscape: Growing & Facing the Future Together

 The federal landscape continues to be uncertain on an array of issues important to the Los Angeles region, including a government shutdown, cradle-to-career education and immigration. As we prepare for ACCESS Washington, D.C., scheduled for March 11-13, we would like to invite you to an informative conversation to discuss the latest insight on potential appropriations to the federal budget related to cradle-to-career education, as well as the priorities some of our freshman lawmakers will take to D.C.

Speakers include Michael Yudin, principal of The Raben Group and former assistant secretary for special education and rehabilitative services at the U.S. Department of Education. Invited guests include newly-elected members of Congress Katie Hill and Gil Cisneros.


This council meets most second Fridays of the month, 10 - 11:30 a.m. at the L.A. Area Chamber.
