Chamber discusses business opportunities with Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S.

His Excellency Thani Thongphakdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., visited the Chamber this week to meet with President & CEO Maria S. Salinas and Board Chair Jerry Neuman to discuss Thailand's economic policies and trade and investment opportunities in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), ACMES and ASEAN countries. The Ambassador was accompanied by Hon. Mungkorn Pratoomkaew, Consul General of Thailand to Los Angeles, and representatives of the Thai Trade Center and the Embassy in Washington, D.C.  Los Angeles is ranked No. 1 among U.S. cities trading with Thailand, with total trade registered at $12.75 billion in 2018. As a result of the meeting, the Thai Trade Center invites regional companies to the International Agricultural Products Business Matching organized by Thailand's Department of International Trade Promotion, to be held at the Central Plaza Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, Nov. 19-22. Participating companies will be eligible for four nights of complimentary accommodations. Interested members may reach out to for further details.  SEE THE PHOTOS.
