The new year has started with a new set of challenges, yet through these hurdles the resilience and strength of our communities shine even brighter as we face them. We adapt, we pivot, and we move forward because we are a resilient region. As a result, we are better equipped with skills to continue moving forward. It may be years from now before we fully appreciate the resilience of our communities, but what we are presently witnessing is no less remarkable.

Restarting and keeping our economy growing is of paramount importance. We cannot afford for our communities to be held back, especially now knowing that we have the means to fight this public health crisis. We cannot sacrifice the job creation, innovation, culture, and sense of community which has always made Los Angeles a global destination. We are a region of continuous growth through any circumstance, but we must foster an environment where collaboration between business, policy makers, and community stakeholders is the backbone for our growing economy, which supports families and allows communities to prosper.

As the year unfolds and we build on our ever-transforming environment, the Chamber is committed to ensuring our communities can continue to earn a livelihood for themselves and their families, no matter what form that takes. Let’s face it, we will transform, we are transforming.
