Based on your valued feedback, we are pleased to offer an improved and block chain secured Certificate of Origin (COO) platform, that will join our existing line of digital export documentation services!

Starting Oct. 1, this new, comprehensive digital solution, brought to you in partnership with Fast Track Global Services (FTGS), will change the way exporters and freight forwarders handle regulatory needs by providing step-by-step guidance and built-in legalization/apostille options, while providing the highest level of security and document traceability.

As the first Chamber in the nation to partner with FTGS to offer a complete, digital export documentation solution for Certificates of Free Sale, Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Standing, in addition to document legalization and now Certificate of Origin, we are excited to share this new resource with you and provide any needed assistance to help you transition to the platform. We are committed to providing you with the highest quality service and customer satisfaction, so please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any further questions.

For existing COO clients:
Please note that Thursday, Sept. 26 will be the last day to submit an application in essCert. After Sept. 26, any document applications that have been submitted through the existing platform -- essCert -- will not be processed, nor will you be able to access documents issued in the past. We strongly recommend you access your essCert account and download or print any past issued documents for your records. The new platform will be live on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Current FTGS users for CFS/GMP will be able to log into their existing account and create a COO application (available Oct. 1).

essCert

A Certificate of Origin is a document which states the origin of goods being exported. The Chamber's essCert program allows you to save time and money by creating, submitting and collecting electronic certificates from your desktop.


  

PRICING:

  • Walk-ins: $20 Members; $50 nonmembers*
  • essCert: $20 Members, $45 nonmembers**

*Fee covers issuance of one original Certificate of Origin, including stamping of invoice and packing slip. Requests to stamp any additional original sets will incur an additional $10 fee per set for both members and non-members.

 **essCert Clients: Please note requests to print out, stamp and mail hard copies of essCert documents will incur a $10 processing fee per set.

HOURS OF OPERATION:

Walk-in requests* will be accepted Monday - Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. *Please note services are not available between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and after 4 p.m. we encourage you to call and verify service availability before coming. You may also schedule an appointment by calling 213.580.7517.

*We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
