LEADERSHIP FELLOWSHIPS

SCLN programs are designed for working professionals that employ a combination of boots on the ground experience and intensive classroom learning. Fellows receive unparalleled access to government, business and community leaders, including direct, closed-door conversations about current challenges and strategies for longterm impact. They are exposed to the inner-workings of Los Angeles and the Southern California region—strengthening the knowledge and diversity of decision makers.

Leadership L.A.

Leadership L.A. (LLA) goes beyond theory and academics to immerse fellows in the issues and assets essential to the future of Los Angeles County. Designed for professionals from across sectors, fellows engage in a combination of rich classroom discussion, experiential learning and personal leadership development. Seminar topics explore L.A. County’s complex systems, including healthy communities, education, local government, arts and culture, economic development and sustainability.

Benefits of participating in SCLN extend beyond graduation. After more than three decades of implementing effective programs, the SCLN network has grown to include more than 3,200 alumni from across sectors and throughout California. Alumni have several opportunities to engage with other leaders, continue to build their own network and help support the next generation of leaders to drive change. Alumni are invited to attend events throughout the year, refer and aid in the selection of potential candidates, and share their experience and expertise by speaking at and hosting seminars.
