Disaster Preparedness & Resiliency Toolkit

To simplify your disaster preparedness efforts, the Economic Development Collaborative has created a Disaster Preparedness & Resiliency Toolkit for business. Use this toolkit to assess your business's level of preparedness. They also offer resources for residents of Ventura and Santa Barbara County.

SBA Federal Disaster Loans

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) provides low-interest disaster loans to businesses of all sizes, private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters. SBA disaster loans can be used to repair or replace the following items damaged or destroyed in a declared disaster: real estate, personal property, machinery and equipment, and inventory and business assets.

Disaster Unemployment Assistance

The State of California's Employment Development Department provides services to people and businesses affected by disasters in California. If you lost your job or cannot work because of a disaster or emergency, you may be eligible for Unemployment Insurance (UI), Disability Insurance (DI) or Paid Family Leave (PFL) benefits.

Legal Services for Fire Survivors

Neighborhood Legal Services Los Angeles (NLSLA) is available to assist low-income individuals with a range of issues, including Disaster Unemployment Assistance, FEMA, welfare, food benefits, medical insurance, landlord tenant, mobile home and other civil legal needs.
