Sean Arian is the co-founder and president of Bixel Exchange, part of the Center for Innovation & Technology at the the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. In this role, Arian oversees the L.A. Tech Talent Pipeline in partnership with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and serves as the chair of the Mayor’s Special Committee on Tech Talent and Training.
Previously, Arian served as director of economic development for former Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa, where he helped develop many of the initiatives that sought to build L.A.’s innovation economy, including the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator and the Port of L.A.’s Clean Trucks Program. He also worked as a consultant with McKinsey & Co., including leading their recruiting and assessment function for North America.
Arian serves as vice chair of the board of both Homeboy Industries and the California League of Conservation Voters Educational Fund. A ninth generation Californian, he holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.A. from UC Berkeley.
