Blanca Zarate is the Chamber's Manager of Strategic Partnerships. In this role, she works to expand development efforts for SCLN, and amplify fundraising opportunities for programs and initiatives across the Chamber. In addition, she supports the team in strategic partner strategy as well as our Signature Events Series.
Previously, Zarate played an integral role in transforming the organization’s recruitment, fundraising and administrative processes with SCLN. Her colleagues at SCLN refer to her as the “rock” of the organization.
Prior to joining SCLN, Zarate worked with Jumpstart, an educational organization focused on pre-K literacy and kindergarten preparedness. At Jumpstart, she coordinated recruitment and retention of students and AmeriCorps members. Zarate also provided administrative support to help increase family involvement and promoted skill building through classroom assistance. While attending University of California, Irvine, Zarate worked for the admissions office of the Executive and Health Care Executive MBA Programs at the Paul Merage School of Business where she assisted in the admissions process of potential and incoming students.
