Marwa Abdelghani is the Education Communications Coordinator at the L.A. Area Chamber, where she coordinates digital correspondence to Chamber members and the general public. Marwa has dedicated the greater part of her life in social change advancing perceptions of her community, American Muslims. For five years, Marwa worked at the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), a public policy and advocacy non-profit organization, as a community organizer and a media specialist. While working at MPAC, she coordinated and facilitated dozens of civic engagement trainings and community-based events across the country. After her time at MPAC, Marwa joined Paramount Pictures as a Studio Page, where she worked under the guest relations and special events departments, giving studio tours and supporting studio events. In her spare time, Marwa speaks to different communities, schools and houses of worship about Islam and the current climate surrounding the American Muslim community.
