Join us for a meeting of the Transportation & Goods Movement Council.
Mobility In the Cahuenga Pass Corridor and Looking Ahead To 2018
Tuesday, Nov. 7
10 - 11:30 a.m.

L.A. Area Chamber
350 S. Bixel St.
Los Angeles, CA 90017

For the last Transportation and Goods Movement Council of the year, we'll be joined by Brian Annis, Undersecretary, California State Transportation Agency, to discuss the progress of SB 1 planning and implementation. SB 1 is expected to generate $5.2 billion annually to fund our roads, highways and bridge infrastructure. The Chamber will also review efforts thus far to fight potential repeal efforts in 2018.

Featured project:
Through a public-private partnership with NBCUniversal and others, the opportunity exists to develop and advance key mobility projects that will address unmet needs in the 101/134 Cahuenga Pass corridor, improve operations, and provide congestion relief. We hope to present these ideas to transportation funding decision-makers and seek to inform the business community because we believe the message will be stronger with a business-based coalition joining in support of the proposed mobility projects.

In this last meeting of the year, the Council will also review the status of other major priority issues this year, as well as begin planning ahead for our work in 2018.

The Transportation & Goods Movement Council addresses all issues related to our region's mobility - highway, rail, air and transit. The Council advocates on federal, state and local issues and champions positions that will provide system-wide, regional solutions. The Council highlights the importance of transportation and goods movement to the region and nation's economy, while encouraging balanced and sustainable communities.

All Council meetings are open to Chamber members only. Media and guests are only allowed with prior approval.
