One year after the start of the new administration, the federal landscape continues to be uncertain on an array of issues important to the Los Angeles region, including education, immigration and health care. Join us for an informative discussion with federal policy experts providing the latest insight on early education, K-12, higher education and immigration. The panel will include Michael Yudin, principal, The Raben Group, who recently served as the assistant secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services at the U.S. Department of Education, Jessica Thompson, policy and research director for The Institute for College Access and Success (TICAS), Charna Martin, senior policy strategist, First 5 LA, and Angelica Salas, executive director of Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA).

This timely discussion takes place as we gear up for ACCESS Washington, D.C., scheduled for March 13-15, which will provide an opportunity to voice our priorities around vital issues that affect student success and our future economy.

The Education & Workforce Development Council leads business community and educator partnerships to reform our public education and develop the 21st century workforce to successfully compete in the global economy.
