Energy, Water & Environmental Sustainability Council

Join us for a meeting of the Energy, Water & Environmental Sustainability Council.
Local Oil and Gas Regulations and a State Water Bond

Friday, Feb. 16
10 - 11:30 a.m.
L.A. Area Chamber
350 S. Bixel St.
Los Angeles, CA 90017
A year and a half ago, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti appointed Uduak-Joe Ntuk as the petroleum administrator for the City of Los Angeles to oversee regulatory and compliance issues impacting the oil and gas industry. Ntuk will join us for our February meeting to discuss the role of his office, as well as a variety of land use rules and proposals that impact the extraction of fossil fuels in Los Angeles.

The Council will also continue the work begun in January to evaluate 2018 ballot measures. Jerry Meral, director of the California Water Program at the Natural Heritage Institute and a former water official for Governor Jerry Brown, will discuss a proposed $8.9 billion water bond planned for November.

We'll also review the 2018 ACCESS Washington, D.C. advocacy agenda.
The Energy, Water & Environmental Sustainability Council focuses on actions to spur clean and green tech innovations, ensure cost-effective water and power delivery, and promote economic growth through sustainable, pro-jobs energy and environmental policies.
All Council meetings are open to Chamber members only. Media and guests are only allowed with prior approval.
Special Guests:
