Land Use, Construction & Housing

Join us for a meeting of the Land Use, Construction & Housing council.
The YIMBY Movement

Wednesday, April 25
9:30 - 11:00 a.m.

L.A. Area Chamber
350 S. Bixel St.
Los Angeles, CA 90017

With the housing crisis at an all-time high in California and local governments struggling to create an environment in which we can build the number of homes the state needs, a new coalition has emerged to advocate for housing and pro-growth planning. California YIMBY is a grassroots organization working to make housing affordable and accessible for everyone. Join us for a conversation with Brian Hanlon, executive director of California YIMBY, to discuss current state efforts and how the business community can partner with other groups committed to growing our housing supply.

In advance of our ACCESS Sacramento advocacy trip, the Land Use, Construction and Housing Council will also be discussing bills for our housing legislative agenda.

Featured project:
Brookfield DTLA's 945 W. 8th St. Residential Tower
The Land Use, Construction & Housing Council advocates for policies and programs that create sustainable, economically robust communities through smart growth planning, public-private partnerships and investment in congestion relief solutions. This also includes a special focus on building more workforce housing, reforming the city's planning and permitting process, strengthening our public transportation system and addressing L.A. County's homelessness crisis.
All Council meetings are open to Chamber members only. Media and guests are only allowed with prior approval.
Special Guest:

Brian Hanlon
Executive Director California YIMBY
