In early 2018, Courtney Smith became the new chief deputy director of the California Energy Commission. As the new chief deputy director, she works to ensure that the Commission's purpose and strategies are addressed in all its activities and programs. She previously served as the deputy director of the Commission's Renewable Energy Division. Smith will join us for our April meeting to discuss programs and regulations that impact the business community, as well as incentive and grant programs aimed at reaching the state's renewable energy and climate goals.

The Council will also discuss Los Angeles County's recently released Safe, Clean Water Program draft and review the 2018 ACCESS Sacramento advocacy agenda.

The Energy, Water & Environmental Sustainability Council focuses on actions to spur clean and green tech innovations, ensure cost-effective water and power delivery, and promote economic growth through sustainable, pro-jobs energy and environmental policies.
All Council meetings are open to Chamber members only. Media and guests are only allowed with prior approval.
