Transportation & Goods Movement Council

Join us for a meeting of the Transportation & Goods Movement Council.

Mobility in 2028

Tuesday, June 5
10 - 11:30 a.m.

L.A. Area Chamber
350 S. Bixel St.
Los Angeles, CA 90017

In ten years, Los Angeles will play host to the world for the 2028 Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games. To prepare for the Games, as well as the growth and change in our region, Metro has released a draft big-picture strategic plan to improve mobility in the county over the next decade. The Vision 2028 plan, spearheaded by Metro's Office of Extraordinary Innovation, is designed to build on initiatives already underway at Metro and chart additional strategic actions for the future. Nadine Lee, Deputy Chief Innovation Officer, will be joining the Transportation & Goods Movement Council to share details on the plan and hear the business community's input.

We'll also be joined by West Hollywood Councilwoman Lindsey Horvath, who will be discussing the work of the All On Board Coalition, which is aiming to accelerate the northern extension of the Metro Crenshaw/LAX Line to connect to the Red Line in Hollywood.

Additionally, the Council will recap our 2018 ACCESS Sacramento advocacy trip and review legislative priorities for the second half of the session.

***The statewide primary election is coming up on June 5. The Chamber urges you to support Proposition 69 -- a constitutional amendment to ensure all SB 1 funds go toward their intended transportation-related purpose.

The Transportation & Goods Movement Council addresses all issues related to our region's mobility - highway, rail, air and transit. The Council advocates on federal, state and local issues and champions positions that will provide system-wide, regional solutions. The Council highlights the importance of transportation and goods movement to the region and nation's economy, while encouraging balanced and sustainable communities.

All Council meetings are open to Chamber members only. Media and guests are only allowed with prior approval.
Special Guest:
