Land Use, Construction & Housing

Join us for a meeting of the Land Use, Construction & Housing Council.
Bridging the Homeless Community

Wednesday, Aug. 22
9:30 - 11 a.m.

L.A. Area Chamber
350 S. Bixel St.
Los Angeles, CA 90017

The Chamber has had a long-standing commitment to ending homelessness in the Los Angeles region. While we remain engaged on the push to site Prop HHH Supportive Housing projects, the Chamber has also taken a leadership role in supporting A Bridge Home -- an emergency temporary shelter program to fill the gap.
Councilmembers and stakeholders are working to address public concerns, community by community. Please join us for a conversation with United Way, our longtime partner on homelessness efforts, for a briefing on A Bridge Home and updates on Prop HHH and Measure H.
We'll also review the status of land use related ballot measures on the November ballot and our state legislative priorities as the session nears completion.
The Land Use, Construction & Housing Council advocates for policies and programs that create sustainable, economically robust communities through smart growth planning, public-private partnerships and investment in congestion relief solutions. This also includes a special focus on building more workforce housing, reforming the city's planning and permitting process, strengthening our public transportation system and addressing Los Angeles County's homelessness crisis.
All Council meetings are open to Chamber members only. Media and guests are only allowed with prior approval.
Special Guest:

Tommy Newman
Director of Public Affairs
United Way of Greater Los Angeles
