Land Use, Construction & Housing

Join us for a meeting of the Land Use, Construction & Housing Council.
Councilman Mike Bonin On Homeless Shelter Progress

Wednesday, Oct. 24
9 - 10:30 a.m.

L.A. Area Chamber
350 S. Bixel St.
Los Angeles, CA 90017

As we head into the colder months, the business community continues to place a high priority on the homelessness crisis in our region. Controversial yet critically important, the A Bridge Home Program aims to develop temporary homeless shelters within each of the 15 Los Angeles City Council districts as we await the build-out of supportive housing. Join the Land Use, Construction & Housing Council for a conversation with Councilman Mike Bonin, a member of the City's Housing & Homelessness Committee, as he shares his efforts to move forward on the recently announced facility for his district, as well as the City's progress on implementing Prop HHH funds.

We will also review the final status of all Sacramento legislation, and begin outlining land use, development and planning priorities for 2019.
The Land Use, Construction & Housing Council advocates for policies and programs that create sustainable, economically robust communities through smart growth planning, public-private partnerships and investment in congestion relief solutions. This also includes a special focus on building more workforce housing, reforming the city's planning and permitting process, strengthening our public transportation system and addressing Los Angeles County's homelessness crisis.
All Council meetings are open to Chamber members only. Media and guests are only allowed with prior approval.
Special Guest:

Hon. Mike Bonin
Los Angeles City Council
