Chamber President & CEO Maria S. Salinas joined the Chamber's Westside Connect to learn about "Measured, Monetized and Maximized Holiday Marketing" at Microsoft's Westfield Century City store. Attendees heard from Lucas Vandenberg, co-owner & managing partner, Fifty & Five, as he explored key elements for an effective digital marketing plan for the holidays, such as KPIs and low-cost email marketing campaigns. The event ended with a special Q&A and meet-and-greet opportunity with Salinas.

08.07.18 Power Hour Series with Ned Colletti

The Chamber heard from former Los Angeles Dodgers General Manager Ned Colletti as a part of the Power Hour Series. Colletti discussed the importance of leadership and his success in Major League Baseball, including becoming one of the winningest executives during the last 20-plus years, having scouted, signed or developed numerous championship-caliber and Hall of Fame baseball players.

The Chamber celebrated the start of summer with Board members and Circle Level Members at the 2018 Summer V.I.P. reception.

05.24.18 Power Hour Series

Olympians and sisters Marissa and Hannah Brandt visited the Chamber to speak on their experience growing up and competing within a male-dominated sport. Marissa, who was born in South Korea, was adopted as an infant by a Minnesota couple, Greg and Robin Brandt, who had been experiencing difficulties conceiving their own biological children. Just before the couple received their first picture of their would-be child from the adoption agency, they discovered they were expecting and gave birth nine months later to Hannah. Both women eventually made their way to the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in South Korea, one representing the U.S., and the other the first-ever united North and South Korea women's hockey team, in one of the most unique stories to have emerged from these Olympic Games. This event was held in partnership with Mixed Roots Foundation.
