The Chamber puts the spotlight on work-life harmony

In 2016, the Chamber launched the Work-Life Harmony Award to spotlight employers who implement extraordinary work-life harmony policies and practices for their employees and families. Firefly provides innovative options for reaching target audiences

Firefly, a mobile digital rooftop advertising startup, is providing organizations in L.A. with innovative new options for reaching target audiences. Firefly partners with existing, full-time rideshare drivers to deploy their smart screens in pedestrian-dense areas, providing an income-boost of up to 20 percent for participating ride share drivers and connecting businesses with customers. The company commits a minimum of 10 percent of their ad space to local nonprofits, and will soon be able to provide free wifi to passengers and share valuable data such as air quality and traffic patterns with city leaders. L.A. Area Chamber responds to the Mayor's State of the City address

April 18, 2019

Today, following Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s State of the City Address, the L.A. Area Chamber released the following statement.

“Last night, in his annual State of the City address, Mayor Eric Garcetti shared his reflections on and visions for the City of Los Angeles, and we were pleased to hear that we share so many priorities – from education and homelessness, to transportation, infrastructure, job creation and equity and inclusion,” said L.A. Area Chamber President & CEO Maria S. Salinas.

Canada's Premiers Address US Governors to Defend Commercial Ties

Last month at the Council of the Federation meeting, all 13 Canadian premiers signed a letter addressed to Gov. Brian Sandoval and to all U.S. governors, inviting them to defend the common interests of Canada and the United States, specifically with regards to the commercial relationship between the two countries.
"As leaders, we have the responsibility to work together to overcome issues that are impacting prosperity, jobs and competitiveness on both sides of our border. We are appreciative of your recent efforts to make your voices heard on these important issues. Accordingly, we are asking today for the continued support and partnership of all governors to maintain and strengthen the prosperity and competitiveness of the North American economic space."
