Los Angeles – Today, L.A. Area Chamber's Gary Toebben and David Rattray, along with other education and workforce stakeholders from the region, stood with President Obama during a rally at Los Angeles Trade Technical College to highlight the opportunity to expand the workforce in high-growth industries.
The President spoke about the importance of promoting partnerships between business, education and workforce institutions to create training programs that help Americans gain the skills necessary to have a strong and thriving middle class. “We have every reason to be optimistic about America,” said President Obama. “It’s time for economic patriotism.”
