L.A. Area Chamber "Ready to Work" with President Obama on Investing in Nation's Workforce Development

Los Angeles – Today, L.A. Area Chamber's Gary Toebben and David Rattray, along with other education and workforce stakeholders from the region, stood with President Obama during a rally at Los Angeles Trade Technical College to highlight the opportunity to expand the workforce in high-growth industries. 

The President spoke about the importance of promoting partnerships between business, education and workforce institutions to create training programs that help Americans gain the skills necessary to have a strong and thriving middle class. “We have every reason to be optimistic about America,” said President Obama. “It’s time for economic patriotism.” 

“The L.A. Area Chamber is proud to stand with President Obama and highlight the importance of developing strategies that ensures a robust economy,” said Gary Toebben, President and CEO of the L.A. Area Chamber. “President Obama knows the value of a good investment and we are thrilled to help leverage the business community to advance our workforce development systems.”
