Los Angeles – The Los Angeles Regional Export Council (LARExC) Selected as a Secretariat by the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) and Chinese Ministry of Commerce of China
The MOU involves seven Chinese provinces and California. Expanding trade and investment cooperation, boost economic growth and the creation of jobs are critical components of this document.
LARExC now has the responsibility of working with and assisting the following Chinese provinces of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong, Shanghai, Inner Mongolia, Hebei and Chogqing with their export, import and foreign investment activities in Southern California.
This important announcement was made a cocktail reception celebrating the 35th anniversary of U.S.-China Relations. The event held at the Chamber was attended by more than 100 guests who joined Chamber President & CEO Gary Toebben and Consul General of China Hon. Liu Jian for an evening in celebration of diplomacy, bilateral trade and cross-cultural ties.
The evening’s guest included; David Jacobs, Deputy Chief Staff, City of Angeles, Brian Peck, Deputy Director, International Affairs and Business Development, Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), James MacLlellan, Chairman, Los Angeles Regional Export Council (LARExC), Mr. Sun Libin, China Enterprise Council, President Cheng Lu, Chinese CEO Organization, and President Robert Sun, American-Chinese CEO Society along with representatives from the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of State and the U.S Department of Labor.
