New OneLA Regional Collaborative launches to change the face of local contracting

Innovative public-private partnership will help create opportunities and build wealth for small businesses and provide easier access to contract opportunities by combining the best of training, technology and one-on-one advising and matchmaking.

“There is a significant opportunity for small businesses, roughly half of which are minority-owned, to access one of the largest procurers of goods and services in the county,” said Bob Annibale, Global Director of Citi Community Development and Inclusive Finance. “By removing structural impediments and streamlining the process of public procurement from multiple public entities, OneLA will facilitate a more efficient pathway for small businesses to thrive and contribute to an inclusive and vibrant local economy.”

In addition to the lead partners, founding public partners are: the Los Angeles County Development Authority, the U.S. Small Business Administration Los Angeles District Office, and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
