Chamber member appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown

 The Chamber congratulates Brian Peck, co-chair, International Policy, Global Initiatives Council, for his recent gubernatorial appointment. Peck has been appointed deputy director of International Affairs and Business Development at the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development. Peck is an international trade and intellectual property attorney, advising multi-national clients on international trade, regulatory and compliance matters, international government and policy affairs, global IP asset management and trade-related IP matters. He is an adjunct professor of international trade policy at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law; and also teaches international intellectual property at Chapman University School of Law. Contact Carlos J. Members of the Chamber's Trade Commissioner's Networking Group (TCNG) joined executives from Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) for a private briefing earlier this month. Information was shared on future plans for delta construction, contracting opportunities for foreign subcontractors and the need for further collaboration with MWD's new H2O TechConnect program. Welcome to Haiyan Liu & Soila Kasaine

The Chamber welcomes Haiyan Liu, new Counsellor for Commercial Affairs, Consulate General of P.R. China in Los Angeles, to L.A. and the Trade Commissioner's Networking Group. We thank former counselor Loumei Shu for her support during her post and wish her all the best in her new posting in Chicago.

A warm welcome to the newest member of the Trade Commissioner's Networking Group, the Consulate General of the Republic of Kenya,  represented by consul Soila Kasaine.   

Trade Commissioner's Networking Group was established to provide the infrastructure and venue where foreign diplomats, including trade commissioners, can develop their own international trade strategies and programs as they perform their professional responsibilities. The Chamber is committed to working closely with countries who are actively promoting trade and economic opportunities.
