Chamber Board discusses city budget with Mayor
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa joined Chamber Board members and other area business leaders Thursday at the Chamber for a roundtable discussion on the City’s budget crisis. The Mayor shared his plans for addressing the deficit and gave those in attendance an opportunity to ask questions. "There is no scenario - none - in which we can resolve this deficit without layoffs," said Villaraigosa. "But, by working together, I believe we can minimize the impact." Villaraigosa stressed the importance of the business community's role, especially as it relates to private sector job creation. Contact Samuel Garrison, 213.580.7568 or [email protected].
