Education Reform in L.A.
This weekend, Waiting for Superman will premiere in 25 cities across the country. A documentary by Davis Guggenheim, the film examines the public education system in the U.S.
In Los Angeles, the Chamber has been focused on education reform at the local and regional level for many years. More recently, the Chamber joined 17 other major Los Angeles institutions in an unprecedented agreement called the L.A. Compact, which is focused on boosting high school graduation rates, better preparing students for college, and providing students more opportunities and access to meaningful jobs and careers.
