Chamber testifies on proposed sign ordinance
The Chamber testified on Tuesday at L.A. City's Planning and Land Use Management Committee (PLUM) on the latest draft recommendations for a comprehensive sign ordinance.  The current draft, which has been in the works for several years, addresses many concerns of the outdoor advertising industry and onsite signs for business.  There are still a number of issues to be agreed upon, including sign adjustment fees, permitting, sign reduction, relocation and grandfathering. PLUM will hear this issue again in late September or October before a final draft is sent to the full City Council for approval. The Chamber will continue to work with City staff and the PLUM committee to make sure all issues are addressed. Contact Beverly Kenworthy, 213.580.7531.
