Last week, Dr. Timothy Law Snyder, president of Loyola Marymount University, delivered his annual convocation address, entitled "Educat3d." In this address, Snyder outlined the university's recent regional and national successes and outcomes, before turning to the future. Snyder introduced a new strategic planning period which will conclude with the launch of an academically centered strategic plan dedicated to educating a student’s "whole mind and whole person." Opening career pathways for young adults
L.A. Youth at Work is holding a number of mock interview events throughout the months of November and December. Business professionals are needed to interview students and provide valuable feedback. Volunteers are provided interview questions, scoring rubrics and will receive an orientation. Help open career pathways for young adults by preparing them for entry-level jobs and paid internships.
