Leading the Way

This evening, the Chamber will host its 131st Inaugural Dinner. The night is about celebrating leadership – the new leadership of the Chamber, the outstanding leadership of our honorees and the leadership that will be required to drive this region to a bold new future.

It’s my first Inaugural Dinner as President & CEO. I am excited to share remarks about our vision for the future, and I’m thrilled to celebrate the contributions of our honorees, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong and Accenture. They are trailblazers and pioneers in their respective fields who have demonstrated truly inspiring leadership.

I see the Chamber as the steady hand of leadership, a collaborative partner to address issues that impact our businesses and the community as a whole. The L.A. region is global in its reach and influence, a fertile ground for innovators and entrepreneurs and dynamic in growing new business sectors. The diversity of its people, industries, music and art, make this region attractive to many.  Making this region a great place to work, live and prosper are at the core of the work at the Chamber.

Seeking prosperity for all keeps us at the forefront of challenges that face our business community. The Chamber is the bold voice for business and the thoughtful partner that will collaborate with a broad base of stakeholders to address those challenges.

We will continue to work and amplify our voice to ensure that the next generation, our children, have good paying jobs, affordable housing options, and the opportunity to live their own California Dream … in Los Angeles.

The road ahead for business will be complex as we navigate issues, but the silver lining is that the Chamber is here to lead the way.
