Sen. Holly Mitchell joined the Chamber's Education & Workforce Development Council meeting on April 12, where she delved into a meaningful conversation about cradle-to-career investments.
“We must do something about the fact that California has the largest child poverty rate in the country,” said Sen. Mitchell. “With the fifth largest economy in the world, this is inexcusable.”
Also at the meeting was Audrey Dow of The Campaign for College Opportunity, who spoke on the need for a centralized and transparent data system, as well as the number of new bills coming out from the legislature on issues like food insecurity and homelessness. See the photos.
