This week, the Chamber convened 80 business leaders in Sacramento to meet with Gov. Gavin Newsom's administration during the annual ACCESS Sacramento advocacy trip. Focusing on developing relationships with Gov. Newsom's administration, agenda items covered a range of topics, including education reform, health care, sustainability, infrastructure investment and housing and homelessness. Chamber delegates met with Ann O'Leary, the governor's chief of staff, Labor & Workforce Development Secretary Julie Su, Cabinet deputies and leaders from GO-Biz and Health & Human Services.
“When the Chamber is doing that work between education and the business community, we are better for it," said Ann O’Leary, chief of staff for Gov. Newsom, during a fireside chat with Chamber President & CEO Maria S. Salinas.
