Chamber joins L.A. County Supervisor Hilda Solis to kick off summer internships

Chamber President & CEO Maria S. Salinas joined L.A. County Supervisor Hilda Solis on Wednesday to kick off the County's Youth@Work summer internship program. Salinas and Solis highlighted the Chamber’s partnership with the County, the Creating Opportunities and Real Experiences (C.O.R.E.) program, which provides justice-involved youth with career-changing internship and job opportunities in high-growth industries. They were joined by Otto Solorzano, acting director, Workforce Development Aging & Community Services Department at Los Angeles County; Judge Peter Espinoza; and C.O.R.E. graduate Gloria Cabrera, who spoke on the importance of the County’s ongoing investment in youth jobs and new strategies to uplift justice-involved youth. SEE THE PHOTOS.
