Employers, Know Your Rights

As business leaders in Los Angeles and Southern California, we are fortunate to live and work in a global city that exemplifies the world’s diversity and offers economic opportunities for millions of people. Individuals from all over the United States and the world come to L.A. every day to start a business or work in our region. Given what is currently happening in the U.S., where up to 10 cities, including L.A., have been targeted for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids, we are providing some helpful information.

While we try to monitor the news regarding the wave of raids at homes and businesses across L.A., businesses and employees have rights. Please find links to some recent Know Your Rights guidance shared with us by our colleagues at the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights.

Additionally, information regarding Employer Correction Request Notices, also known as No-Match letters, and I-9 forms is included.

The L.A. Area Chamber is a champion for comprehensive immigration reform, we know the benefits to our economy, and we hope these resources are beneficial to you and your employees.
