Center for Small Business Success

September 18, 2019

The Chamber held a press event and reception to formally announce the launch of its new procurement initiative, OneLA Regional Collaborative. Led by the Chamber, the County of Los Angeles Department of Consumer and Business Affairs and Internal Services Department and developed in collaboration with founding corporate sponsor Citi Community Development and technology partner Avisare, OneLA was launched to provide easier contract opportunities for local, diverse businesses. OneLA seeks to improve access and remove the barriers to these opportunities through collaboration and coordination, matchmaking, relationship brokering, training, advising, easy certification and contract matching.

The event included remarks from Chamber President & CEO Maria S. Salinas, L.A. County Supervisor Hilda Solis, Bob Annibale, global director of Citi Community Development, and small business owner Christina Moses, 3shades design. Attendees included James Alva and Lisa Deloney, Citi; Joe Nicchitta and Michael Owh, County of Los Angeles; Phil Washington, Metro; John Arena and Shane Chapman, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California; Victor Parker, U.S. Small Business Administration; and a number of community partners and procurement officers. SEE THE PHOTOS.
