The Education & Workforce Development Council held a meeting to discuss the state’s cradle-to-career data system. The council was joined by Ben Chida, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s senior policy advisor on cradle-to-career and leader of the statewide workgroup; Kim Pattillo-Brownson, State Board of Education member and council co-chair; and Valerie Lundy-Wagner, California Competes. The discussion revolved around the new statewide data system and how compiling data on early childhood health and education, K-12 systems, higher education and the workforce will support the design and implementation of interventions that will best serve Californians statewide.
