Roadmap of the Federal Transportation Landscape

On Tuesday, the Transportation & Goods Movement Council received an update from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Christina Lotspike on transportation infrastructure, and from Mike Jones at the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) on the Goods Movement Element of the Connect SoCal Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy. Lotspike discussed the different ways the Senate and House have framed transportation infrastructure. Jones outlined the challenges the SCAG region's goods movement sector faces, policies to address these issues and the estimated levels of investment needed to address the challenges. SEE THE PHOTOS.
