Our Vision for 2022

Few imagined that we would be traveling this road of great uncertainty, a path where we were tested on so many levels, and yet, through it all, the L.A. region has remained resilient and hopeful for the future. This business community has shown itself to be an economic force not just for Los Angeles, but for the country and world. We are ready to demonstrate that we can safely move beyond the pandemic.
In reflecting over the last year, I am proud of our work. The Chamber leaned into the turmoil brought on by the pandemic, and we’ve been laser focused in supporting the business community at every turn.
In the City of Los Angeles, we launched L.A. Forward, a plan to organize business leadership to speak with one voice in the upcoming election, and we deepened our collaboration with our partners in Orange County and the Inland Empire to ensure our common goals were being heard in Sacramento. We also doubled down on unifying the business community by reaching out to CEOs and forming The CEO Council, comprised of over 100 CEOs across 13 industry sectors from the greater L.A. area.
We are emerging from this pandemic with several issues to address: a labor shortage, lack of housing for middle income residents, homelessness, and public safety just to name a few. To ensure we’re creating a region which can thrive, we must foster a legislative environment that is friendly to business. Where elected officials understand the value of keeping this region globally competitive, retaining our talent, and jobs here in L.A. We are committed to advocating for an economy that is inclusive and equitable.
We hope you continue to engage with us so we can truly deliver on our vision of A Thriving Region for All.
