As the 14th largest economy, the Los Angeles region has one of the most vibrant economies in the world. One key component of our region’s economic success is global trade. In 2021, Los Angeles exports totaled $27 billion dollars, making it the 18th largest exporter in the United States.
One of the most crucial components of successful exporting is the accurate completion of required certifications and transfer documentation. The Chamber offers services to submit required documents such as Certificates of Free Sale (CFS), Good Manufacturing Practices Certificates (GMP), Certificates of Good Standing (CGS) and Certificates of Origin (COO).
The Chamber is one of the first organizations in the nation to bring exporters an innovative online platform to provide the needed documentation electronically. The platform uses secure blockchain technology to help exporters obtain and process documents with accuracy, enhanced security and instant traceability.
The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce received accreditation from the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) World Chambers Federation (WCF). Accreditation means the Chamber’s documentation services meet the highest international standards and are issued according to the “gold standard” of globally accepted best practices.
In supporting global trade in the region, the Chamber provides essential services to facilitate businesses to reach global markets. Find out more about the Chamber’s export documentation services here.
