Plan Your Vote – November 8
October 27, 2022
by Maria S. Salinas
On November 8, the 2022 election will result in a significant change in the political landscape. While every election is important, this year’s election will allow Los Angeles residents to make significant changes in elected leadership across all levels of government.
We need a government which works for all residents — and the power to make that happen rests in our vote. With the ongoing turmoil in the Los Angeles City Council, we must elect leaders who represent our inclusive values, earn our trust and understand good governance.
While it may be time-consuming due to the length of the ballot, it’s our civic duty to ensure we provide our input to our local, state and national governments to ensure they represent our vision for our region.
The Chamber had the opportunity to meet with many of the candidates for this election, and we have reviewed their policies, platforms, and proposals as they sought an endorsement. Through the L.A. Jobs PAC, candidates were considered for their alignment with the Chamber’s values of job creation, good governance, stewardship and public service. See the full list of endorsements here.
