L.A. Area Chamber Receives Five-Star Accreditation Honor

Dear Chamber members, partners and community,

I am excited to greet you as we wrap up the year and look forward to 2023. We’ve been on a journey to build upon the legacy of serving the Los Angeles region in a bold, transformative, inclusive, and responsible manner. We are enthused with the support of our members, partners, and community that inspire us to go the extra mile. We end the year on a high note having just received a Five-Star accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s accreditation program is the only one of its kind which defines excellence in chamber performance and planning. The L.A. Area Chamber was recognized for strong business practices, outstanding contributions to the community, and promotion of policies which support job creation and innovation throughout the region. There are roughly 7,000 chambers of commerce throughout the country, but only 201 chambers nationwide and seven in California carry this prestigious honor.

The U.S. Chamber recognized our work in key areas:

• Public policy and civic engagement
• Leadership on regional and statewide issues
• Unifying business CEOs and launching The CEO Council

The L.A. Area Chamber was also commended for helping businesses navigate the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and serving as a trusted partner in the region for information and resources for the small business community.
