Los Angeles is Open for Business

We celebrated 135 years of business leadership with a memorable evening under the lights at SoFi Stadium with many special guests, including 2023 Board Chair A.G. Spanos, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, Inglewood Mayor James Butts and more.

Mayor Bass delivered the opening remarks with a clear message: "Los Angeles is open for business." This proclamation is more than a general statement. The Los Angeles region already ranks as a top global economy, and we understand that working collaboratively, we can prepare for the next phase of growth.

The Chamber recognizes the importance of the relationship between business and government. By working together, we can create a public policy plan to foster economic growth and social progress, leveraging the creativity and innovation that thrives in Los Angeles. We need to ensure all businesses in our region have the opportunity to open their doors and grow to create good paying jobs.

Looking to the future, the Chamber is committed to set the path for the next generation of innovators and changemakers. This includes preparing a workforce that can handle new technologies, automations and the metaverse — all of which are already present today. We need to lock arms as a community and lead responsible transformation, ensuring equitable opportunities for all.

We look forward to working with Mayor Bass and bringing business thought leadership to help solve problems and create a brighter future for all. Join us on this journey.
