Are You Ready for the March Primary?

Primary election ballots have been mailed and in voter’s hands for the last three weeks. Undoubtedly, your mailboxes have been flooded with election materials, but the most important piece is your actual ballot.

There are important races across all levels of government on the ballot, and this is your opportunity to let your voice be heard. In California, ballots can be turned in until Tuesday, March 5, 2024, and you can still register to vote up until Election Day. Be sure to confirm your voter status by visiting the L.A. County Registrar-Recorder.

The L.A. Jobs PAC, sponsored by the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, has evaluated ballot initiatives and met with several candidates resulting in endorsements which align with the Chamber’s values. For endorsed candidates, we reviewed their previous voting records, policies and platforms.

Your vote holds enormous power, but with that also comes a great responsibility to take the time to inform yourself and understand what’s on the ballot. While this might seem overwhelming, it’s our civic duty and the Chamber encourages all eligible voters to do their part.

You can review the L.A. Area Chamber’s Voter Guide here.

Now is the time to plan your vote. You can ensure your ballot is counted by returning your postmarked vote-by-mail ballot with prepaid postage either on or before Election Day, by delivering your ballot in-person to a secure official L.A. County drop box location, or by casting your vote in-person at any L.A. County polling place by 8 p.m. on March 5.
