Last week, I had the pleasure of leading more than 150 L.A. area businesses, civic and community leaders to our nation’s capital for ACCESS Washington, D.C. A first for me, this year’s trip was not only an opportunity to represent the Los Angeles region at the federal level, but also continue to build and strengthen relationship with national and global partners.

Earlier this week, I traveled with Chamber Board Chair Jerry Neuman to Atlanta to engage with executives from some of our largest member investors – The Coca-Cola Company, Delta and The Home Depot – in their headquarters city. As I reflect on our meetings, I’m struck by the importance of trips like this. These major corporations, regardless of where they’re headquartered, see L.A. as a critically important market– and we believe they’re vital to this Chamber’s advocacy agenda and building a bold new L.A.

Each year, the L.A. Area Chamber partners with more than 150 business professionals and elected officials from throughout the region to visit our nation’s capital for our ACCESS Washington, D.C. trip. The purpose of this trip is to represent the Los Angeles region at the federal level.
