The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce is offering the Regional Export Training and Assistance Program (RETAP) at no cost to eligible manufacturers in Los Angeles and Orange County. Don’t miss this opportunity to boost your sales by reaching customers in over 200 countries!

Funded by a grant from the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (Go-Biz), RETAP provides expert training and resources to help small manufacturers expand internationally.

Benefits of RETAP:

  • Comprehensive Export Training: Eight workshops for new exporters, focusing on export fundamentals, and five advanced workshops for current exporters to explore market identification and expansion strategies.
  • Personalized Mentorship: Access to a dedicated mentor who will connect you with one of 16 partner organizations to assess export readiness, globalize your website, and identify high-potential markets.
  • Market-Entry Support: Guidance on strategies for distribution, pricing, promotion, and ensuring cultural and regulatory compliance.
  • Buyer and Distributor Assistance: Support in finding buyers and distributors, negotiating trade terms, and securing payments.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You're a California manufacturer in business for at least 1 year
  • Your product is at least 51% U.S. origin
  • You’re new to export or exporting to fewer than 5 countries

WORKSHOP REGISTRATION

 

The program is brought to you through a grant provided by GO-BIZ. It offsets user fees for a variety of U.S. Commercial Service promotional services, subject to availability and eligibility as determined by U.S. Commercial Service specialists. These services include the Initial Market Check ($350), International Partner Search ($750), Website Globalization Review ($100), and more, offering businesses valuable tools to expand their global market presence.
