Transportation & Goods Movement Council

Join us for a meeting of the Transportation & Goods Movement Council.

Transportation Project Delivery and Innovation

Tuesday, Jan. 9
10 - 11:30 a.m.

L.A. Area Chamber
350 S. Bixel St.
Los Angeles, CA 90017

For our first meeting of the year, the Council will be joined by two Metro executives -- Senior Executive Officer Manjeet Ranu with the Countywide Planning and Development Department, and Deputy Chief Innovation Officer Nadine Lee from the Office of Extraordinary Innovation -- to discuss what they are working on for 2018. Planning and Development administers and coordinates infrastructure improvements and has recently proposed an Early Project Delivery Strategy for Measure M. The Office of Extraordinary Innovation was created in 2015 to identify the best ideas in transportation and help to test, refine and implement them at L.A. Metro. Both these departments are key to Los Angeles' infrastructure future.

The Council will also recap the final report for the California Road Charge Pilot Program, take an official position on ACA-5 for the June ballot and approve the 2018 Transportation & Goods Movement Council advocacy agenda.

The Transportation & Goods Movement Council addresses all issues related to our region's mobility - highway, rail, air and transit. The Council advocates on federal, state and local issues and champions positions that will provide system-wide, regional solutions. The Council highlights the importance of transportation and goods movement to the region and nation's economy, while encouraging balanced and sustainable communities.

All Council meetings are open to Chamber members only. Media and guests are only allowed with prior approval.
