ACCESS SAC 2024

Business, education, civic and community leaders from across the Greater Los Angeles region joined the L.A. Area Chamber at our state capital for ACCESS Sacramento, our second advocacy trip of the year. Over the course of two days, we engaged with key California decision makers and continued to advocate for policies that strengthen local industries, drive job creation and create regional economic prosperity.

Attendees were also able to hear from leaders in government and business, including:

     • CalTrans' Deputy Director for the Office of Civil Rights David DeLuz

     • CalOSBA Director Tara Lynn Gray

     • Sacramento Vice Mayor and CARB Board Member Eric Guerra

     • CalChamber EVP and Chief of Staff for Policy Ben Golombek

     • Michael Martinez, Chief Deputy Commissioner at the California Department of Insurance

     • Tomiquia Moss, Secretary of California Business at the Consumer Services and Housing Agency

California Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis served as our keynote speaker and was joined by L.A. Area Chamber President & CEO Maria S. Salinas for a fireside chat on preparing the workforce of the future, leveraging new opportunities like artificial intelligence, supporting small businesses and maintaining economic competitiveness in the state.

The delegation also met with over 30 legislative offices and elected officials including State Senator Steven Bradford, Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas, Speaker Emeritus Anthony Rendon and Assemblymembers Rick Chavez Zbur, Laura Friedman and Sharon Quirk-Silva to discuss retail theft, the state budget and legislative bills that advance the Chamber's policy priorities.
