The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for the 2020 Stanley T. Olafson award.
The Stanley T. Olafson (STO) Bronze Plaque Award is one of the Chamber’s oldest and most prestigious awards, originally presented in 1933. It honors someone who has contributed above and beyond his/her job requirements to assure that expanded world trade enhances opportunities for Southern Californians. The award emphasizes efforts to increase awareness of the positive impact that international commerce can have on our region’s economy.
Recent recipients include Amb. Mickey Kantor, Mayer Brown LLP; Comr. Mario Cordero, Federal Maritime Commission; Bella Heule, World Trade Center, San Diego and Dr. Abraham Lowenthal, University of Southern California. Past awardees include Walt Disney, Walt Disney Productions (1947); Jack Warner, Warner Bros. Studios (1955) and Tom Bradley, Los Angeles City Mayor (1984).

Recipients of the award must be available May 5, 2020, to receive the award at the World Trade Week Kickoff Breakfast.
