L.A. Area Chamber Statement on Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's Second Inaugural Address

The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce applauds Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa for making job creation the top priority for his second term as Mayor of Los Angeles. Mayor Villaraigosa’s remarks during his inaugural address on the south steps of City Hall are encouraging to the business community, which has shed 250,000 private sector jobs across L.A. County during the past year.
“Mayor Villaraigosa’s remarks today were right on target,” said Gary Toebben, President & CEO, Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. “The L.A. Area Chamber looks forward to working with the Mayor, the business team and city hall to create jobs and accelerate economic recovery in our city.”
