LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce has learned that an analysis by the City of Los Angeles Chief Administrative Officer contained incorrect information about Measure H's public campaign finance fund.
The initial analysis incorrectly stated that that the City must make up any postponed or reduced payments to the campaign finance fund by the end of the next fiscal year.
However, the Chief Administrative Officer has since issued a correction. Measure H would only require a repayment to fund only if the city borrows funds from it.
The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce continues to oppose Measure H for its unequal restrictions on campaign contributions. We hope all voters become aware of the inaccuracy as well as the correct information before making a final decision about this measure.
