L.A. Area Chamber Applauds U.S. Department of Transportation and Senators Feinstein and Boxer for Supporting Additional Westside Subway Extension Funding

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce applauded the U.S. Department of Transportation today for advancing the Westside Subway Extension for final consideration for a TIFIA loan. The Chamber also applauded Senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer for their continued support for additional funding for the Westside Subway Extension. 

“This project is so important to our city and region. Our 1,600 members and their 650,000 employees appreciate the work of our two senators to relieve congestion, improve air quality and create jobs,” said Chamber President & CEO Gary Toebben.

The Chamber was a major supporter of Measure R and has been a long-term proponent of the Westside Subway Extension. The Chamber is also leading a national effort to secure support from across the nation for America Fast Forward.
